Women of Comcast Share Their Story

Women of Comcast Share Their Story

I recently had the pleasure of partnering with Comcast California to celebrate and highlight moms of color during Women’s History Month. I moderated a lively panel with inspiring women who work at Comcast and who shared their insights on how to be successful at work and at home.
The energy on stage was electric. The panel featured: Jenny Gendron, Director of External Affairs; Monica Quijada, Business Development Representative and Tamara Fortson, Retail Market Manager. We also had the opportunity to hear from Karen Fascenda, Vice President of Human Resources about the policies behind the family friendly culture at Comcast.
Each woman gave great perspective to how they approach their work and how they manage motherhood. They shared some of the ups and downs of being a working mom. But it was clear to me that a major part of their success has to do with their employer being supportive.

Inspiration & concrete advice

Great podcast that has really evolved & developed. Working moms of color describing the joys and challenges of education, career, family and how they get it done and succeed. Moving stories that also offer tips and suggestions. Love listening!

Fierce Dynamic

I just listened to the conversation with Nely Galan. My experience with immigrants confirms this fierce dynamic to do what needs to be done and also a recognition that in spite of many difficult issues here in the US, there are opportunities in this my adopted country that are rare in the rest of the world. Felicitaciones a todos! I’ll be listening in.

Inspiring Stories!

Reach Mama features inspiring stories from diverse women - a voice that's frequently missing from leadership and motivational podcasts about professional women. I think Karina Cabrea Bell lifts up fresh voices and perspectives with the impressive guests she's introducing to her audience. I'm excited to hear more episodes!
