Overview

One of Philadelphia’s most stunning visual holiday experiences is back in all its high-definition glory.

The annual Comcast Holiday Spectacular returns with super high-res digital holiday shows displayed on one of the world’s largest LED video walls.

A must-see holiday tradition, this free 15-minute video show takes visitors on a festive, musical journey featuring classic holiday songs, performances and a sleigh ride around the world.

The Comcast Holiday Spectacular runs from November 23, 2023 to January 1, 2024, with shows every hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Guests are also invited to explore The Universal Sphere, a free and immersive cinematic experience open year-round (and with extended 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. hours during this holiday season).

The Comcast Holiday Spectacular

Displayed across a state-of-the-art 27-million-pixel LED video wall, The Comcast Holiday Spectacular celebrates the 15th year of its wonderful winter show in 2023.

The free video screening features musical sing-alongs, captivating holiday scenes, performances by the Philadelphia Ballet and a magical sleigh ride around the world and into Philly.

Shows run daily at the top of every hour in the Comcast Center lobby from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a sensory-friendly version of the show offered daily at 2:30 p.m.

The Universal Sphere

Next door over at the Comcast Technology Center (the tallest building in Philadelphia!), the holiday experiences continue with extended hours at The Universal Sphere.

Designed by Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Animation and other movie masters, The Universal Sphere offers a free cinematic environment that explores the power of ideas through dazzling lighting, immersive sounds and gentle motion.

This futuristic dome-style theater is also wheelchair-accessible and service-animal friendly, and offers closed captioning and full translations in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.

The Universal Sphere is open year-round, with holiday hours daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and sensory-friendly shows (with softer lighting, lower volume and reduced movement) available by request.

Getting There and Tickets

The Comcast Holiday Spectacular is free and open to the public. The Universal Sphere is also free, but RSVPs are recommended.

Getting to the Comcast Center Campus is a breeze via SEPTA. The events are just a short walk from the Suburban Station Regional Rail stop, and bus routes run up and down Arch Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard all day.
